Choose one situation
Pick a recurring position, such as losing balance after a single-leg entry. Describe what happens immediately before the problem so the practice target is clear.
Ask a focused question
Ask the coach what one change would make the position stronger. A question about trail-foot recovery is easier to answer than asking how to get better at everything.
Test the adjustment
Use cooperative repetitions first, then light resistance. Keep the starting position consistent so you can tell whether the change actually helped.
Review and keep what works
Record the cue and the result. If the adjustment did not help, bring that observation back to the coach and test another small change.
Put it into practice
Your next session
Use a three-column note: situation, adjustment, result. Fill one row after two practices and compare the same situation rather than unrelated wins or losses.
What to look for
You should be able to name the adjustment and show it in a repetition. Progress may be a clearer decision or a more stable position before it becomes a score.
